October 2018

It is with regret that we inform you Dr Nikki Retford, who recently reduced her shifts to two days per week, will be leaving OneHealth at the end of this year. Nikki was with OneHealth when we opened our doors in May 2009 and has been a major contributor to the success of this practice. However, the long commute and family commitments has made it no longer viable for Nikki to continue working at OneHealth. We understand this will be sad news for many of Nikki’s patients who value her empathy, compassion, professionalism and friendly persona, but rest assured we will be doing our very best to ensure your on-going healthcare requirements are met.

Patients who are currently enrolled with Dr Retford will have the option of transferring their healthcare management to Dr Pei Yu Gao, Dr Selva Dhanabalan, or Dr Elly Sekikawa, who will be joining OneHealth in January 2019.

Dr Elly Sekikawa was born and raised in Auckland. She completed her medical training at the University of Auckland and worked for several years, at Auckland Hospital, before deciding General Practice was where she could make the most difference. Elly has an interest in preventative medicine and enjoys all aspects of family care. Outside of work she is kept busy by a curious and active toddler.

Over the next few months, we ask that Dr Retford’s patients give some thought to their preferred GP and inform our staff who will assist you through this transition.
